I have found so many marketable things at the bins that the great unwashed (and man oh man some of them truly do need a good wash) over look or have no interest. The Build a Bear is one. I have not sold him yet, but I really haven't tried. I wish I had his outfit.
I went yesterday and the place was bananas. Totally bonkers. Packed to the ceilings. But, I did not feel any anger or frustration. A first, but then again, I just was chilling. Just taking advantage of having someone at the house with J. J. getting much worse. I lay awake at night worried about the situation, him, me. I am trying to really push the resell business (ha!) to dig myself out of debt. Hence this post. Next month I am going to concentrate on everything I find at the BINS.

I found this 1930 pattern from Mirian Martin earlier this week (I have snuck off to the Bins twice this week!!) It is an uncut pattern of a Nightgown and Bed Jacket. The cellophane is cracked and falls apart if you handle it too roughly. Hell, if you handle it at all!I have posted it on all three platforms and on the FB Mkt it has initiated over 400 views and a couple of saves. If I were a seamstress of interested in recreating something sophisticated and simple from the 1930's, I'd be all over this. I also bought up all the 1950 - 1960's cache of Simplicity and McCall's patterns that were in this area. I haven't listed them yet, but like I am inspired to do, I will get them up for March Madness.
I picked up this beauty too. A Henry Pecker Red Leather Poodle with fox fur from 1960's. It is missing the heart charm, but hell it has the chain attached! Someone tried to buy it on FB Mkt but then cancelled. The dog is so precious and so 60's!!
The Madam Alexander Doll Heads I found in the first bin against the far wall! They were with an assortment of arms and legs. I only can surmise that they were in a bag and someone dumped them out then moved on after discarding them. for me to come along right behind them and scoop them up. I at first photographed them on a hot hot pink background and even though it was eye catching, they did not see even with a lot of looks and inquires. I changed the picture and they sold in a few weeks? Within the week? I still have th arms, legs and torsos. Maybe I need to rephoto too.
I sold the Rawalty shirt this week, maybe last week. what ever I got for it was a great profit as it was only 1.29$ a pound. Even at tripe X it was a good profit.
I found a MMA head gear for practice and sold that here in town a few weeks ago. ++
I found this Porcelain Cutie, Indian Drummer Boy, at the Bins! The bins are a treasure trove that takes patience and imagination. Porcelain does not sell that well but I have managed to move a few Madam Alexander's, a box of 3 dolls w/o boxes (one of my first sales from FB Mkt). It took awhile, but not that long to find him a home. I didn't make much, but heck, at 1.29 a pound?
I found this factory sealed 2002 VHS box of Warbirds yesterday. I know it will take a LONG time to find the right person, but patience is something you must have in this game! I sold a Rae Dunn dog bowl this week and I had it listed for six months. I think I found it the week before the bins closed for covid. I thought Rae Dunn sold well....Pooh.
Will report back.
