Could it be Another Honey Hole?

Where do you go to be surprised by what is on the shelves that you can flip and make a bundle. It was the Goodwill in C-wood. I found a load of back seamed stockings that I sold to several gentlemen and for 59 cents per package, I made a killing. !! Yes, I loved that. And when I found the five Monster High Dolls from a limited edition offering even without the packaging I sold it for around 100$ Cost to me was about 10$ And the vintage 1930ish Fiesta ware? Sold one piece for 230$ Bought it for 4.99$ Sold another piece for 50 something and donated the 3rd because it had a chip. Sold the 4th piece but the buyer asked for a refund because the lid had a hair line crack in it, which I disclosed but not good enough to his liking. I found some other things there, a Starbucks coffee mug and a vintage Marlboro coffee mug. Found a Canon Rebel DSLR in a camera bag with a diffuser lens for 4.99$ But, it dried up. New management was hired and the place changed. The racks of purses, which I had no interest in since they consisted mainly of Vera Bradley, the loads of toys and dolls, the jewelry jars (found a Tiffney bracelet in a 40$ jar)  the shelves of hard goods were all decreased. I have been there three times and have not purchases a thing.

The GW Bins in C-Ville have become a dumping ground for junk. I have heard from a very good authority that the staff are required to bring anything of perceived value to a separate area of the warehouse where it is put on Shop Good Will and not put on the floor for the resellers and the pickers to treasure hunt. Also, the hard goods are DUMPED into the bins without regard to breakage.

I found lot of great stuff at the  bins before the change. Now it is mostly junk.

But, another Bins opened in the town across the River. This is a new facility and I have really found some treasures there! I think they are focusing on the clothing and missing out on the hardgoods.

Like today...I found four Fiesta ware coffee mugs in excellent condition. No chips or cracks or chiggers. I fund a Lenox Tea Pot worth conservatively 50 bucks. I found a silver plated jewelry box that is beautiful. I found vintage Pyrex,  Fire king and Enesco today. Also some marked MCM glasses and some gorgeous MCM 1960ish dinner plates.

I like this place. My new Honey Hole. I needed it.

What sold this week

Had a good week. Still not up to the numbers I had earlier this year and sales continue to be slow on Merc and non-existent on FBMkt but Ebay is sustaining me and keeping me from having a full blown panic attack and melt down.

Sold this cute little fellow very quickly. It sat on my Bookcase for a long time. Can't even remember where it came from!!

Sold the musical Hummingbird Trinket box in a bundle. Has not been delivered yet. I love/hate Fed Ex Express. Sometimes it takes 2 weeks to get delivered. A nail biter.

Not a big sale, but a sale. Got these three Nutcrackers in am estate warehouse sale. All you could stuff in a bag for 5$ so I sold for 15$ (less fees). So, in the black. Have other stuff to post from this bag, but I have a death pile that has taken over the garage and I have no idea where the rest of the bag could be let alone what else could be in it.

This was my big sale of the week and also the source of my Buyer Remorse. I won two of them for 100$ total in an antique auction (I have no business being there as it was mainly high rollers). But he sold for an offer of 90$ which I took...because of my buyers remorse. I have not listed the 2nd one yet, but I am going to hold out for the asking price of 129$.

Monster High sold but was immediately asked for a return/refund because buyer changed their mind. I have a sinking feeling I am going to get a different doll returned to me She sold within hours of posting. I hate to loose money, but this is in the black already from a lot of Monster high dolls I purchased awhile back. I overlooked this one!! I can only hope she is returned to me  in a respectful manner as I shipped her. But, I'm a cynic.

Sold these Frankoma Bowls in a few days once posting them. I have more!! I need to dig thru my death pile and get these bad boys posted. I believe I got these from my favorite Auction house. I have 4 of them.

This is an old listing that sold. Yay rah. I got this from 2nd favorite Auction House. It has a defect that I clearly pointed out in the listing description along with the metal bleed. Maybe bought for a prop? It is rather vintage and since I had it, I listed it.

This was the other part of the Combo sale. I purchased him in a lot at the favorite Auction House #1 several months ago. I thought he would sell faster and for more. I had a similar one marked Malta that sold for 90$ I let this one go with the Hummingbird for 70$ I will pick these up when they become available. The right buyer needs to be looking. Lot's of Templar fans out there.

That was the week that was.

Back in the Saddle

I'm Bacccccck.

After the disastrous end of September and lack of money, I have been at it full steam ahead. I have found some wonderful things to flip and I am trying to be more judicious in my bids, because that is how I roll, with in person and on line auctions.

So far, the first week of October I have attended four live auctions. That's a record for me. And I have not been judicious as planned. I've been out of my mind and the auction last Friday I suffered the WORST case of buyer remorse ever. I bought two Lux Cat clocks circa 1930 for 100$ for 2. Thank God I sold one almost upon listing for 90$ A week later, I need to get that second one up.

But nothing compares to the BUYER GOOF I made today by not understanding the asking price of an item and thinking I was bidding 25 bucks, I was actually bidding 250$ and once I realized my error there was no way out. No one else was bidding. SHIT CRAP HELL DAMN.

I have no idea the value of this bronze horse on a marble base. It has a name on it but for the love of God I can not make it out and can not find any variation of the name. I am at a loss. I think I made a very grave mistake, especially since I can not afford a 250$ boo  boo. goof.

So, its only day 9 of the month and I have the rest of the month to hustle and get back in the black.

Because the next on live auction is next Friday and then the following Tuesday.

I have it so bad.

This is what I went for and I got!
