During the month of July, the challenge was to not purchase and go sourcing and concentrate on your Death pile, aka Money Pile, or as I like to think of it, a Research Pile and to list 10 items a day. Both are very difficult. As the picture to the left proves that I cannot stop. This si a Limoges Trinket Box I found in C-don online estate sale.
Along with this group of four Wizard of Oz Christmas ornaments. Neither have sold, but I find I do tend to find a lot of 'Long Tail" items that take a while to find the person who is looking for them. Usually, it takes a while, but the wait is worth it when it hits.
This is another prime example. MA Hadley cow cup that I believe I got at the factory which is having a close out. Only open the first Wednesday of the month and when the inventory is gone the plant will close its doors on 80 years of pottery, I have sold a few pieces. I paid 90$ for a box of vintage stuff at the favorite Auction House and have sold 90$ - that's gross. The next piece I sell from the lot is profit.
As I write this, I am patiently waiting for yet another Auction to begin so I can nab 4 more Glamour Heads. I'm not sure they are prime, but I take a change.
BTW, the gold on this lady head was something that washed off. Thank goodness because I was at a loss to describe it.
As for posting 10 a day? HA! That is hard. It's hard to post 5 a day, but I try to post every day and since the beginning of July and the challenge I have missed only 3 days (maybe)
This is actually August 21, 2022.
July sales. Not so great. August much better so far. Anyway, if I had not participated in the challenge I might be terribly discouraged.
