This week, following a horrible last week, was worse. The shining light in all of this is that I have for the first time used an Uber and loved it. I, for the first time, signed up for Walmart Delivery service and absolutely love it!! What is better than opening your front door and there are the bags of items you ordered the night before! Before 9am. No more getting J ready for an anxious ridden trip to the store. No more tossing in chocolate covered pretzels, Cheeto Puffs, Cotton Candy Oreos etc. etc. etc.
Just the basic's Mam! I figure the tip alone should come with a kiss.
I am in dire straight's when it comes to money this month. I filed my taxes with out paying, just filed. They want their money by the 17th. My license plate renewal is due and means I must pay all the toll fees and the fines from using the FUCKING toll bridge without a transporter (not me, my privileged daughter and her drug addict boyfriend. To be completely honest she's an addict also.) Having her incarcerated and then in detox she came home, stayed away from the boyfriend for about another week then took the car, had a huge fight with him, lost the keys. Police brought her home. Took Uber to get car. She packs up and says she would rather be homeless. I gave her one night. She didn't last 12 hours. But, once back she begged to go get cigarettes. It's 120am. Am I in a mood for a fight? Am i in a mood to take her to the store in my pjs ? No. She takes the car, goes back across the river (God I hope she didn't use the toll bridge) and wrecks my car.
So, I'm in rental. On my own dime. I felt it prudent to have AAA and not use the insurance company's Road Side Assistance. It has been my horrible experience to have been denied renewal because I did the unthinkable and used the RSA too many times. But, live and learn. Get the Roadside Assistance, get AAA. Use AAA and only use RSA when you need a car rental because of am incapacitated vehicle.
That's all the News that makes a Country Western Song. Wait, it's not the Perfect Country Song. Nothing about Mama, trucks, trains, prison or getting drunk. Just jail. And I'm the Mama. I'm now in a SUV and guess what? I love it!
The Month of June ended on a whimper. Instead of my usual 50 - 60 items sold, I barely made 37 sales. But, praise the Lord, they all paid.
I think I may have sourced away all my profits. My sourcing is getting better. I have not been to a live auction since the Doll Auction in May. So yay me.
I have one auction I am interested in attending the 3rd Saturday this month and an on live auction featuring Breyer Horses.
Other than that, I am going to aim for 10 item a day and rid the house of useless items. Yesterday, with the fabulous VW SUV I took a large load of smalls to Goodwill. I have another large load of toys (mcdonalds Happy Meals in cellophane, Action Heros in original boxes, Barbies in boxes, doll furniture, Teddy Bears etc). Toys so not do well for me, and I hate to give new items to Goodwill.
