What I love about Thursday is that I get to go to the SSTC and pick up my auction loot! AKA booty. Last week was a total disaster when it came to reselling. First off, I could not find a silver turquoise bracelet that I had sold for $36 bucks! I went thru everything in the jewelry boxes, containers, and bags. What I discovered was several items were missing, including but not limited to the silver bracelet because I have no idea who or when it was taken!!, the 1969 high school ring at 10K gold worth about 600 bucks on ebay, and my turquoise and red long necklace. The necklace ended up with my daughter. When she took it is anyone's guess. And she just happened to have a 1969 high school ring they found (supposedly) at some park. Coincidence? I have to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Then the SSTC lost my Vera Bradley bags which I had put up on Mercari and had sold! Shit fire! They have a new worker there and it quite possibly was not her fault, but Sher would never have misplaced my stuff. It was found later and I will pick it up today. I learned a valuable lesson which is to not place it up for sale until I have it in my hand.
The third, because it always comes in 3's doesn't it?, was I shipped two Churchill Down mugs in a Chef Boyrdee box and the item arrived damaged. Broken. I had not put enough packaging in the bottom. Damn.
All in all, it cost me last week. My learning curve. Today I am sending out a box that has a piece of Heager pottery and I have written fragile all over the box!
That's what I love about Thursday.
