Monday, Monday Can't Trust That Day

The whole world is going crazy with this Corona virus. They are having social separation I believe they call it where you should either hole up in your home until it is safe to come out, not go to work and or work from home. Schools are closing for weeks, restaurants are closing, bars too. Millions are loosing their jobs for the time being. Sports are being called off. Kit's kids are coming home from Mexico and Germany. Our planned trip to Keeneland is called off this year. There is talk of the Derby being rescheduled. No NBA, no MLB, no NCAA.

So what does one do? I can read and work on my pile of stuff I have bought (and bought and bought) and continue to post on Mercari. I sold several things last week but nothing so far today. Keeping track with online social media, I am not alone but others are still selling. They sell on several platforms I believe and they are hard pressed to tell you what they sell.

One blabbermouth disclosed Shopgoodwill. I wish the entire world was still ignorant of that glorious web site, but it was ruined a long time ago. I believe they hired an outside agency to run it for them and thus it changed. But, it does not stop me from dropping money now and then. Especially now that I am trying to find places to find things that sell. Like my beloved jewelry.

The blabbermouth said she is able to sell at a profit her stuff. I wonder where? Am I too high or am I on the wrong web site? I refuse to try E-bay again. Too high and the fees are imposed whether you sell or not.

So, I tried Poshmark last night to sell some jewelry but the way they run the app is quite different from Mercari and so I must just adapt.

I did make $50 selling thru LouFB.

Okay. Enough.

I went to Goodwill the Bins Saturday I believe and found some wonderful things. An Irish Fisherman sweater, valued at $140 on one of those home net work shows. But, made in Ireland and beautiful and brand new. I found a printer, a Lexmark still new in the box wrapped in shrink wrap along with the instructions so hopefully my trips to the library will be limited now. I found other stuff too, a Corning ware dish, several ball caps that are unworn (Joe gave them to Beau and Flip) I found four pairs of "wellies" rain boots, 2 children sizes and 2 women adult. I found a brand new unworn pair of tennis shoes and a nice pair of sandals.  But my favorite thing (after the Irish sweater) is a banged up canvass  back pack that has seen better days with a tiny pin attached to it meaning white noise. Canvass and leather. Really neat.
