Why I love Wednesday

Because its Survivor Night!!!

When I wake up and realize its Wednesday my heart and head do the happy dance! Wednesday is also garbage pick up day so its always satisfying to see all the recycling go. When we lived in Olive Branch and in Guthrie they did not recycle and I hated that! They pick up the trash once a week and the recycling every other. So its a big deal because I try to recycle everything. At times we will have four heavily filled containers out there. It's embarrassing at times to hear all the glass hitting the compactor or what ever they use. I bring my aluminum  cans to Ned. They have a college fund for the three grandkids. They have been collecting cans and redeeming for as long as I remember.

I use to do it when I was broke. Like when I worked at EPI and made about 19 grand a year with raising a child, sending them to a catholic school and after school program, and going to school at night. Don't know how I did it but I do know that the aluminum cans from our family reunion in 1988 was a God Send. Then the price bottomed out. I took them to the recycling center in OB and usually got just about enough to buy more beer.

Anyway, its Wednesday and I am printing labels at the library because I sold some stuff on Mercari. Yay me.

I have sold the Gap Yellow Rain Boots I scored at the Bins @1.29/lb I guess they cost me about $5 and I'm going to get 20 for them. I love reselling and I suppose it is another way to recycle! I think I am going to open up an account at one of the credit unions and begin a nest egg with the proceeds.

I'm learning as I go along. Like I'm hesitant to sell this Funko Pop stuff because the packaging is so important! I'm selling Kylo Ren for 15 because the box top is a little compromised. A little dented. I bought 5 of them from Shopgoodwill but the shipping was outrageous!! Which I am finding to be the barrier to selling stuff. Anything worth anything (ie over 8 oz) cost almost as much as the profit.

But I am falling in love with the Bins.

I'll save that for another day.
